Who is
SudburyTV?

Founded in June of 2008 by members of Sudbury's Cable Committee, SudburyTV is a non-profit corporation dedicated to fostering the production and cablecasting of public and governmental access programming for residents and organizations of Sudbury, Massachusetts.  Our legal name is the "Sudbury Access Corporation".

We have been contracted by the Town of Sudbury to provide local TV services to the Town.  On September 2nd, 2008, we started operating the former COMCAST facilities at Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School (L/S) and the Town Hall.  We provide the same services, in the same manner, with the same staff, as our predecessor.  For example, with the help of volunteers, we  produce and cablecast

We also plan to add new programming and services.  One initial project was a YouTube-like website for 24/7 access to all our programming (now available from our home page).

Watch us on our channel, COMCAST Channel 8/FiOS 31.  Our programming is also shown on COMCAST Channel 9/FiOS 32 (the Sudbury Educational Channel) outside of school hours.  See our current programming schedules (and a link to Community Notices) here.

If you have a meeting or event that you would like to see cablecast, or are interested in assisting on other programs, or in helping us grow our organization, we welcome your involvement!  Please contact us at the "info" address on our home page.

Our operation is funded entirely by COMCAST and Verizon via restricted payments to the Town.  These payments are drawn from Sudbury cable subscriber fees.

We are managed by a volunteer Board of Directors.  These Sudbury residents have years of experience working with local access television and/or television production.  Our current board is:

Jeff Winston, President
Marty Greenstein, Vice-President
Peter Boers, Treasurer
Terry Lockhart, Clerk
Bill Powell

Our Board of Directors meets at least once a quarter.  Typically at 7:30pm on a Tuesday evening at our L/S studio.  Meetings are posted at least seven days in advance on our home page.

Residents are invited to attend our meetings, and to get involved in program development or production.  We need your help!  No prior experience required.

Lynn Puorro, Sudbury's former COMCAST Access Coordinator, is our Executive Director.  She can be reached via the "info" Email address on our home page, or at 978-443-9507.

We welcome your input!  Please send any inquiries, Bulletin-board postings, etc, to the "info" address on our home page.

Note that the Sudbury Cable Committee has been dissolved.  However, one resident serves as a "Cable Advisor" to facilitate communication between the Cable Companies and the Town.  Learn more here.
